Now we do the fun rewatch
We're doing a rewatch of Big Bang Theory from S1 on, get us in the spirit for the new season coming up. Just finished rewatching S1 of Rome and finally watching the 2nd season Wish they'd been able to do the 5 seasons they'd originally planned.

In other news, the kittens continue to be adorable. Next I post, I'll have to tell you how mama kitty 'hunts for them.

Anyone?
Anyone ever run across a Big Bang Theory/SG1 fic? It occurs to me that Sheldon getting a job working on the Stargate program would be a hoot.

Who Knew?
I've turned my mum into a Big Bang Theory fangirl. I loaned her and my brother my 1st season DVDs, not sure it would be something she'd be into, but figured my brother would enjoy it. Then they asked for S2, so I gave them 2 and 3. Glenn was telling me that they're on the last DVD of S3 and mum's pouting because there's no more new for her to see soon. Too funny.

Waiting
I'm waiting impatiently for Nin to get home from work so we can watch Big Bang Theory. I'm still not sure how this became the show I most look forward to every week, but since it has, glad to hear it has been renewed for three more season!

Speaking of shows I really look forward to - White Collar was back last night! Woot!

Have one episode of S1 of The Tudors left to watch. Need to resist the temptation to get the remaining seasons on DVD.

Not related to TV, but music. Still don't have iTunes set up on the new computer, so have been listening to a lot of Pandora. Tonight's selection is Native American Flute music, which I'm very fond of.

And randomly ... am loving the new phone!

A Favourite
I think one of my fave Xmas albums is the one by Blackmores Night - just love it! I really should check out some of their other offerings.

It's been a hell of a week at work and I can not wait for the weekend. Tomorrow is our holiday party, which I had to plan, so I hope all goes well.

Big Bang tonight!

The Kindle cover from Oberon I got for mum came in today and it's exquisite! And I got free gifties! A pewter Tree of Life magnet, and an oak leaf key charm - though I'm not sure what a key charm is [g] I love oak leaves/acorns.

Can you believe the year's almost over??!?1

Three of my favourite traditional carols: Good King Wenceslas, O Holy Night, Come Come Emmanuel.

Speaking of traditional, I think I've worked up the courage to go to Christmas Eve services this year. Going to a new church is something I have to work up my nerve for, you see.

Home
We're home! Had much fun and wish we had a few more days.

Of note: we watched all the currently aired eps of Lost Girl and it was a winner all around. I was actually contemplating fic on the drive home. And icons. Fic and icons.

Also, we brought first two seasons of Big Bang Theory for them to watch, and we got through one and a halfish. We'd go back and forth between Lost Girl and BBT - made for some very whacked out xover dreams!

What's New?
Can't believe it's nearly October! When did that happen?

We had a great visit with [livejournal.com profile] robi_travels in which we saw Ranger Vin Tanner at the North Rim, went to a terrific national monument called Pipe Spring (more on that later), had an amazingly good bison flank steak at the North Rim lodge, and scored a rim view cabin for the night. Everyone was seriously jealous of that. I have pics that I'll share over the weekend. We also introduced Berta to Mag 7 and Big Bang Theory while she was here.

The kitty snipping begins. Caffrey and Spike went to the vet yesterday, and not a moment too soon. I was concerned our kittens would have kittens. And the boys were starting to get very aggressive, so I'm glad that's taken care of.

I think I've figured out the block I had in the part of Transformative Variations I'm wrting. I had this flash that I could write the segment from Tony's POV, and bam! block gone. However, I realize I've never actually written form Tony's POV, so it's a little intimidating.

So much new TV! And I can't wait for Big Bang Theory tonight! But drat, I must wait for Nin to get home from work. Funny that a show I'd only seen one ep of in the spring is now a firm 'must see TV'.

Work is well, work. And I can not express how much I loath prevailing wage jobs. They are a blight on my existence.

I suppose I should get myself some dinner, considering the time.

Loud!!
I swear, the loudest cricket IN THE WORLD has taken up residence right in my doorway. Wow! Nin says it's saying 'sex sex sex' over and over. You know that's all I'm going to hear all night now, right? It's been going at it three nights straight, this is number four.

White Collar summer finale was awesome!

2000 words into part five of Transformative Variations. Am pleased.

We watched all of S3 of Big Bang Theory over the last three days. The theme song is now imprinted on my brain. As is 'bazinga'.

Now, bed time.
