The violets are a good example of stuff added in. I knew I wanted them to appear, and it was part of a longer segment in my brain, but I didn't actually get them worked in till the third go round :) Hopefully, I'll be able to use the preamble up to the violet story in some other fic. Couldn't make it work for this one.
