Your memory isn't as good as it used to be! And even then, it wasn't all that great.

I had all the character names in the '1840' fic sorted out. But did I write them down? No. Can I remember half of them now? No, of course not. I need to remember to take notes, even if the story isn't going to be written for a bit. Really. I do. [smacks self] [smacks self once more for good measure]

Also, I have a large universe and sometimes have to read myself (older stories) to see what happened earlier in my timeline. I don't always write alot down either.
