24: Hours 3/4

They know how to make a TV show that grabs you by the throat, and doesn't let go, I'll give them that. As we moved into the last 20-30 minutes, the outcome seemed inevitable, just like in real life it's inevitable. I cried and petted Sparrow, who's been asleep on my lap all night.

Kiefer Sutherland really is an amazingly good actor. I was pulled right into his loss and grief at what he had to do. He kept me riveted to the screen.

The next 20 hours... damn, they should be something.

And in non spoiler news, going on sale tomorrow, is a DVD version of the first four hours. Now that's some interesting marketing. DVDs have come a long way.

What say me?

Shocking. Every year I wonder how 24 will top the previous one. If this is any indication, this is going to be the most outrageously exciting season ever. Nukes in our midst. Not that farfetched I believe.

Not farfetched at all.

I had to keep reminding myself to breathe. I love the fact that the powers behind the show are committed enough to the integrity of the storylines that they are willing to follow things through, even when that means killing off incredibly compelling and sympathetic characters.

Kiefer Sutherland really is an amazingly good actor. I was pulled right into his loss and grief at what he had to do.

Well said. I couldn't agree more.

[nods] people die, people you care for die. They don't flinch from that reality.

I gave 24 a try when the series first debuted because I've always liked Kiefer Sutherland, but I couldn't get into it. I'm a little tempted to give it another try this season knowing Alexander Siddig is going to be on it, but...

It is my 'MUST SEE' show every season. AS is pretty good. I've never seen him as anything but Dr. Bashir, so this is quite a change [g]

It is my 'MUST SEE' show every season.

The shows I've been taping/taped are Heroes, NCIS, House, Doctor Who, Trinity Blood and Bleach. I may still love Julian McMahon, but I've given up on Nip/Tuck. I'd say my favorites of the series in my list are Heroes and Trinity Blood. I'm very much looking forward to the return of Heroes, and the arrival of the Dresden Files. I was sad Heroes didn't win any of the Golden Globes it was nominated for.

I've never seen him as anything but Dr. Bashir, so this is quite a change [g]

I've seen him in Reign of Fire, and Kingdom of Heaven. I know he's in Syriana, and he's done an MI-5 episode, but I haven't seen those. I like Alexander Siddig. I just have a hard time imagining that I can get into the show for him when I couldn't do it for Kiefer.
