Bummer! I posted yesterday about the Solstice webcam at Maeshowe, but it turns out it was cloudy and there were technical glitches. Maybe next year. But there are many lovely photographs at the site of some of ancient monuments scattered over the islands and are well worth taking a look at.

I bought three Xmas albums from iTunes tonight, along with the single 'Silver & Gold' by Burl Ives. It's been a favourite of mine since I was a little girl, and now I have a copy of my very own! And I always loved his voice.

And in other news, the turkey, it is now a-brining.
