What a wonderful two parter. Though, I admit, I thought Joan was going to be Susan's grandmother. Of course, there's nothing to say she might not be. After all, we don't know if she and John had sex or not.



Now we watch Atlantis.

Yeah... did they ever explain how Susan came to be? Was she part-human, or was she supposed to be a Time Lord? I'm not familiar with Old School Who.

The ending, with the boy as an old man, that had me tearing up. Sad stuff, that.

I'm not sure it was every very specific, other than she was his granddaughter, and it seemed she was human.

There was a point in the last season when the Doctor said something like "I was a dad, once" to Rose, but that was as detailed as it got!
