I Succumbed

I felt pretty crappy all weekend, and if I hadn't had to do payroll yesterday, I would have stayed home. But today, I gave in, and called in sick. Luckily, I put the potato salad together las night before I went to bed, so all I need to do is add is the mayo and dinner is done!

On the brighter side, thanks for all the birthday goodies yesterday! The cards, and posts, and comments were lovely! And thanks to pat_t and dragon_within for the virtual LJ goodies!

I was iffy over LJ gifts after all the earlier angst on LJ.

You and I just switched--I called out sick yesterday, but forced myself in today. I'm pretty sure at this point that it's the weather causing the headache, and I couldn't see what good it would do me to sleep another 12 hours. Thought working might be a better plan--tire myself out so I can sit up and do a little writing tonight.

I've just had an awful time with my stomach the last week. And now I've added painful joints and muscles to the mix, plus fighting off Nin's cold. I did get a good chunk of sleep, so hoping that helped.

Ooh, stomach stuff is bad news. And the joints and muscles... you know, I hate to say it, but it sound fluish to me.

I have two chronic health problems, one's GI related, the other hits my joints etc. On really special days they combine to make me extra miserable :)
