Ironic

I have to chuckle. I'm so not a slasher in any way shape or form. Don't read it, don't write it. But the majority of the folks I've run into here in LJ land, whose posts I enjoy reading, are slashers. It's just like my RL :) All my best friends are what we call "slash sluts". My entertainment comes from tossing out pairings that squick them. I actually verbally 'wrote' a fic on a car trip that was Red Dwarf, Cat/Lister with lots of fish oil. I hurt their brains [beam] Yesterday, I made my roommate scream when we were talking about Gilmore Girls and I suggested Luke/Jackson. .... how does my garden grow?

ROFLMAO - AH you discovered the dirty little secret of LJ-land havent you!? I am right there with ya - dont read it, dont write it.

I can only imagine what you did with the Red Dwarf stuff - THAT is scary...of course Rimmer just kind of lends himself to that in "Angels and Demons" - "First Im going to whip you to within an inch of your life...and then...I'm going to have you!"

I personally cant figure out the fascination.

It's pretty much a fandom wide thing. LJ seems very fandom-centric, so I suppose it only follows. Which is why it's a prefect fanfic venue after all.

Yeah, Hl fandom these days is mostly slash dominated, personally, I enjoy reading both het and slash, but there is just so much terrific slash fic in HL that it's a real slashy wonderland.

Oh, Ith, you make me giggle. (Although, I have to say, I'm easy to squick, myself...can you say House/Cam?.....*shudder*...) (I only tease, I hope you know that ;->) And I bet you have a very lush garden!

We all have our "ick" factors :) I've always been the 'anti-shiper' -- never liked the 'canon' couples in my favourite shows for the most part. So it's quite a departure when I do!
