No Reason

I needed distracting, and on my travels tonight, I started looking into Keira Knightly's new movie, Atonement. The trailers and featurettes I saw hit all my buttons: England, pre WWII/WWII, lots of angst, and Keira looks amazing in period clothing. The movie doesn't come out here till December, so I'm going to have to get the novel. So anyway, the distraction turned into me making icons for no reason other than I liked them, and no no one will have any interest in. No Methos in sight. Scary, huh?

Most are from print screen grabs, since I couldn't figure out how to save the trailers. Talk about tedious! But it kept me occupied, so that's good, right?

If you know any Keira fans, point them here :)

Other icons can be found here.

I am really looking forward to this movie too - I have read the novel. Lovely icons! How about some of James McAvoy too?

Thanks :)

He doesn't 'speak' to me [g] , so I'm not sure what sorts of icons would appeal. If you see something on the movie website, or a section of one of the trailers to point me to, let me know, and I'll see what I can come up with.

Wondering if I should get the novel before we leave. might make good plane reading.

It's a really good novel! Though not an easy read, you know, not like beach reading or something.

Yeah, it sounds like a fairly involved trauma filled story. Last pre-movie release novel I read was 'Memoirs of a Geisha' -- so much better than the movie they made of it. Glad I'd read the book first. It wasn't a 'light' novel either.

I've just popped into to admire the pretty. One and seven gorgeous :-)

'Atonement' is coming out in September, here, but I'm not sure if I want to subject myself to the subject matter. Sometimes, I find traumatic movies too much to handle on the big screen and I wait for video. Weird, I know, but there you are. I got an awful shock with 'Pan's Labyrinth', a while back. A beautiful movie (I totally recommend it) but a lot darker than I thought it would be.

Books are another thing, however; traumatic books are candy for the mind...

Thank you!

Yeah, that's why there's all the buzz since it comes out next week across the pond .

As for traumatic movies, it really depends. Of course, I never really know till I go... so...

Gorgeous icons! It's amazing how different Keira can look from one role to the next.
