I'm not sure, but the thing in the tube was Chitauri.

Have they officially said somewhere that it was a Chitauri? Most people I've talked to were assuming it was a Kree.

Hmm. I suppose I was assuming that since they've been hunting for Chitauri metal in the other eps (wasn't it Chitauri metal Centipede was using for their soldiers?) it would be a Chitauri.

There's still a chance that it could turn out to be Chitauri or something related to them. Kree is the main theory (at least partially because of Guardians of the Galaxy), but with Marvel anything's possible.

... well, anything except for them using the word "mutant" in the MCU. ;-)
