TV Marathon!

I'm very glad that there's nothing on TV tonight. [livejournal.com profile] ninjababe gets off at 330pm, so we have a marathon 'watch what's on the DVR' marathon ahead! With so many shows we're watching this fall, and being away for nearly four days, we're way, way behind.

Though I have housecleaning scheduled first. The apartment is a mess and it making my crazy. I've already done some. Now, however, I'm going to work on my 'Halloween' fic till Nin gets home.

So, not watching the Lost Colony or whatever SciFi is calling it?

Today, I did laundry, went shopping, made minestrone soup, made an apple pie and paid bills. We have had no TV since Tuesday when Cablevision changed a box on the street. So two Cable techs and my computer tech all just left and guess what-everything is working, finally! It has only been a year and a half. Oh, I still need to swap out a box for High Definition but other then that, computer, and tvs are all getting good signals. Go me.

Now maybe I can finish uploading HLWW pictures and my journal entries.

Wraiths of Roanoke

Funny, I was expecting a sort of history / scifi thing not a quasi horror movie. Better then The Sores, special effects were not bad. I liked the male second lead, not sure who he is, but did a good job. Unfortunately there was no chemistry between AP and the actress who was his wife in movie.

Worse part, the American Indian characters. Considering they filmed this in the States, they should have been able to find real American Indians for the principal speaking parts.

SciFi channel movies are the epitome of "B" movies.

Nin's just gone to bed. she went to work at 7am this morning and is sleepy We watched a few Food Network things and Chuck. Now that TV is off the menu, I'm going to go over my fic before sending it on to my beta.

Good luck. I am sure it is a great story. Isn't Nin your beta?

As for being tired, no doubt, it has been a busy month for you all, with work, Philly, LCA, etc.

I kind of have a cooking bug myself. Planning on making cookies tomorrow to go with the soup and pie I made today.
