Just finished watching Peter's video diary to the fan club, and the reactions of non-native California residents to the winter weather here never fails to amuse [g] Peter just continues the tradition! Oh, and he needs to go to Home Depot (scroll down to the third line) and get an Outdoor Digital Timer with Dusk-to-Dawn Sensor. I never have to go out in the cold to turn off the Xmas lights!

He probably wouldn't want to know about the winters we've played on the iced over driveway here at work.

I'm sitting in freezing Ohio listening to him go on about how cold CA is and giggling. The hubby (also Welsh) yells downstairs, 'He's gone soft. He's a wimp now' which sets me off on a fresh set of giggles. But it was fun to see the video. I'm liking the perks!

You would not believe what a brisk business is done in sweatshirts here! Tourists actually show up in the winter wearing shorts under the misguided belief that it's 80 and palm trees here! It's CA, not Tahiti [g] Just because the sun's out in all those movies doens't translate to warm.

I'm not surprised because Peter mentioned the dessert being cold at night, and I've visited AZ, NM and CA and know from those visits just how cold it can get at night. We have lots of cold, sunny days here. *g*

It's not just inland. I'm on the coast, and it gets plenty cold! And it's always so damn damp! That's probably the worst part.

*nods* I agree. Damp cold seems to seep in through the clothing much quicker than dry cold. You have my sympathy.
