Slow?

Dang, LJ is running slow this afternoon. I have to keep reloading pages to actually get them to appear.

Later: apparently it may be do to the traffic generated by the Heath Ledger death news.

Yeah, it's real slow right now. I don't know why that is, but since ohnotheydidnt has slowed down LJ before, and it seemed to start after the news broke about Heath Ledger, that could be why... :(

I've never heard of that comm before. Huh. I have seen lots of Heath Ledger posts, so maybe that is it. I've never seen any of his movies, but I'd heard of him of course. I read he had a three year old daughter. Very sad.

I remember that they broke LJ's servers once before, and now that they're updating the post about Heath as soon as they get new info, and people are refreshing the page all the time (and both posts have 2000+ comments), I wouldn't be surprised if that had something to do with the slowness. :\ It seems a bit better now though.

This whole thing is so sad. I liked him and have seen most of his movies. I'm just...in shock. :(
