Potential Self Gifting

Deep Discount DVD has a 20% off anything you buy sale going on till Friday. This means that season one of Supernatural can be had for something like $34 w/free shipping even. Do I do it? am I really going to like this show enough to buy it on DVD before I've even seen more than three epsisodes? Argh! What do I do? Help!

I don't know what to say about your problem, but I have my own list waiting for just such a sale... Thanks for the tip! Um... is there a coupon to use? I don't see any notices on the website and the prices aren't any lower than usual.

uh, did you try this by adding the SPN set to a shopping cart? When I did, I got a message back that reads, The 20% discount offer applies only to most available DVDs, UMDs, HD-DVDs, Blu-rays, storage accessories, and posters. Pre-releases, titles marked with an asteric, video games and toys are excluded from the sale.

Just curious. I used a discount last weekend; was wondering if that's the issue here.

No, it was what was on the 'Sale ending Soon" email they sent me today. I hadn't actually tried to buy it -- too tempting :) But I can just to see what happens!

Ah! I didn't know it was a pre order. I thought they'd come out already. [sigh] Okay, that makes my decision easy [g]

Except the pre-order price is $43.55; the regular price will be $59.95. That's actually better than a 20% savings, but not quite the ginormous savings that $34.xx would have been.

food for thought. -g-

Amazon has it for $41.00. But by September, I'll probably have seen pretty much the entire season on WB, so the excuse of instant gratification is gone! [g] and in September House S2 (with a BLOOPER REEL!!!) [ahem] will be out and S2 of Grey's Anatomy. So many TV shows, so little time!
