Photobucket Help

I've almost maxed out my discspace on LJ, and I noticed a lot of you who make icons use photobucket for yours. Do you do them by album to get the whole batch to show up on one post/page? Or is there some middle step? Not sure that even makes sense. What I'm used to doing for LJ, is using the insert image function, one icon at a time, till I have all ones I want to share uploaded. I'm hoping there's a less tedious way to do it with photobucket.

What discspace have you almost maxed out? Don't know anything about photobucket though. Sorry. I was just curious.

LJ gives paid accounts ten megs of storage for photos and such. When I tried to upload that last batch of icons, I went over the ten meg limit, and had to go in and delete a lot of the older screencaps and photos I'd posted to open up space.

That's what's confusing me. I have over 4500 photos and here is what mine says:

You are currently using 647.60 MiB (6.32%) of your 10.00 GiB quota.

It's GiB, not MiB. And with over 4500 photos, I'm only using 6.32% of my space.

Yeah, I didn't think I had nearly that much stuff, but it seems to think I do. I'll have to look into it some more and see if I can figure out the problem.

PBucket has an option to let you select the images you want to post and automatically generate the code to cut and paste into LJ.

The catch is that it only works one album at a time, so either you put all the images you want in one album or go through the c/p process for each. It's easy enough, just a little time-consuming.

I agree. I work with Photobucket for a few years now and like the many options it offers. You really should try it.
For a short time I worked with flickr, but the problem was that it only alowes 100 photos/free account. Photobucket lets you upload much more.
