I managed to transfer my stylesheet from LJ over to IJ, so now the two look pretty nearly identical, except for a different sidebar layout and different icons. It's going to take some getting used to!
I hear you. I've tried to keep everything as similar as possible - aside from the extra icons there. And really - every time I think the IJ is pointless some kerfuffle happens here that makes me quiver so...
God only knows what the short or median term will bring. I renewed this LJ for six months and will no doubt do another six instead of twelve in the hope that fandom will be acting or reacting in a more coherent way next time SUP flexes it's new muscles.
Basic accounts are a thing of the past and today I learnt you can't search for fanfiction any more as an interest.
I was using flexible squares, but I got the code from an IJ comm and had to paste it into the CSS section. But I'm not sure if you can do that on an unpaid account or not.
