Ghost Hunters Rocks!

I really love Ghost Hunters. The guys are just so real and I don't feel like they're punking me like that 'Most Haunted' series -- that show makes me want to throw bricks at the TV. They're real people with real jobs, and that's so different than the usual sort of TV show. I wish I could get them to check out the places I've had paranormal occurrences. Maybe I should enter the the next contest!

Really? I always thought that show was bogus, too. I watched a couple of episodes, and I never saw any evidence of anything, so I figured it was just the same type of thing the Most Haunted show does.

I adore Grant and Jay. GH is probably one of our favourite shows. They debunk more hauntings than they prove, and actually go into it expecting to debunk. So when they run into the real thing, it's always interesting. And a lot of their experiences are like ones I've had in the past.

And if there's a child involved, they're all over it. They both have 4-5 kids each and making children feel safe in their homes is important to them. They're good guys.

Okay, I'm sold! I see that SciFi has whole episodes available on their site, so I may use them to fill in the gaps now that everything else is in rerun season.

Cool! Part of my love is they're nerdy dorky regular guys who don't seem to have let fame affect them. They adore their wives and their kids, and they still work as plumbers.

Oh, and the new season/new episodes just started last night. They seem to run a set of episodes about three times a year. I haven't quite figured out the pattern :)

There have been a few things that happened over the years that couldn't be explained...

One, in St Augustine, they saw a human-shaped shadow move in the top part of a lighthouse. And, that was after they had descended from the top and checked it all out. There was no way there could be a person up there...

A moving picture on a table in a hotel...

A glass shattering with no one near it in the Stanley Hotel...

So, yes, 9 times out of 10, they debunk the ghost stories, but sometimes, it's just creepy!

I should remember to save the stories when I type them up so I can just paste them in, I get asked so often. But I always forget [g] I'll try and remember to share them again at some point.

I love how they are scaptal (sp?) and don't just assume that it's a ghoust and look for a more natural explanaiton.

I've watched some other paranormal ghoust hunting, haunting type shoes and wish I could send the Ghost hunter team in to find the real reasons for the odd activity.

I love Ghost Hunters. We watch it all the time. J watches everything on ghosts and aliens. I spend so much time yelling at the tv because of how fake things are.

There are times when I think they are reading more than is really there, but it's not often, and not that there isn't anything.

I've been happy that the annoying guy, the one that quit for a while, got shipped off for the international series. He drove me around the bend!

I hate the Most Haunted shows...its like the only mode they are ever in is "Blair Witch project" type filming, and I swear they have some of the hokiest acting I have ever seen.

I do like GH though because of their skepticism - the Boss Guy reminds me of Nathan Fillion.
