Lies, Filthy Lies! Meme

I snagged this from [livejournal.com profile] kimmychu's place. Seems like it could prove to be amusing :)

If you read this, if your eyes are passing over this right now, (even if we don't speak often or ever) please post a comment with a COMPLETELY MADEUP AND FICTIONAL memory of you and me.

It can be anything you want - good or bad - BUT IT HAS TO BE FAKE.

When you're finished, post this little paragraph on your blog and see what your friends come up with.

I can do fake *g*

Oh, remember that time we went hiking in the Alps and we didn't make it home before dusk? You told me to be quiet because you'd spotted a large bird of prey in one of the trees ahead. And then it passed us on silent wings... Awesome, wasn't it?

And then it ripped a bunny to pieces! Or was that another hike?

Must have been another, I'd say since I don't believe that in the dark we could have told a bunny from a hamster. ;-)

Or the time we went to Cold Stone Creamery in NY and had the largest bowl of Banana crunch they do! I had such a ice headache after that!

[identity profile] ithildyn.livejournal.com 2006-07-01 09:20 pm (UTC)(link)
Now you need to tell me what's in banana crunch [g]

[identity profile] enchantersnight.livejournal.com 2006-07-02 10:33 am (UTC)(link)
well it is banana Caramel crunch with the following

French Vanilla Ice Cream, Roasted Almonds (not these as I don't like them) Banana and Caramel.

Heaven :)

I'll always fondly (gleefully) remember that FK War when you and I teamed up and corralled the Knighties and the Cousins into forcing Nick and LaCroix to attend family therapy. The Knighties were all "Awwwwww..Puppy pile!" and the Cousins are still plotting revenge.

[identity profile] ithildyn.livejournal.com 2006-07-01 09:20 pm (UTC)(link)
LOL! That one's something that sounds like it did happen [g]

[identity profile] mischief5.livejournal.com 2006-06-29 07:37 pm (UTC)(link)
And remember the time we went to the Art Institute of Chicago just to see the Asian collection and they had all of those wonderful Japanese textiles and screens and wallhangings? And you went nuts over the paintings? And then I dragged you over to see the Chinese bronzes and jades? We must have spent hours in there! Then we argued over whether we were going to have dim sum or sushi for supper and we ended up having both! Thank goodness for carry out!

[identity profile] ithildyn.livejournal.com 2006-07-01 09:21 pm (UTC)(link)
And the sake, don't forget the sake!

[identity profile] mischief5.livejournal.com 2006-07-01 09:37 pm (UTC)(link)
Sake so cold it made my teeth ache! And the shrimp egg rolls! We really do have to go back there. Soon! VBEG...

[identity profile] mischief5.livejournal.com 2006-07-01 10:26 pm (UTC)(link)
Thank you! It's one of my favorites...Here's another.

[identity profile] holde-maid.livejournal.com 2006-07-04 08:34 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, this one I've seen before, but I hadn't yet caught sight of the other before. :-)

Forgot to add...

[identity profile] holde-maid.livejournal.com 2006-07-04 06:42 pm (UTC)(link)
There ARE intriguing similarities in the motif, though. *g*

Yeppers. That was the idea. I love visual puns and double entendres. I pulled this one on Ith last night... VBEG

double entrendres...
That reminds me of a moment in a book by my fave author, D.L.Sayers. People are sniggering about an ad in a magazine. The ad is about a new product, namely an inflatable little cushion with a doll on it holding a sign that tells you that this space is reserved. In the ad, a young girl is putting this cushion down on her place in the train compartment. The headline says.... "Don't pinch my seat." ;-)

[identity profile] holde-maid.livejournal.com 2006-07-04 08:46 am (UTC)(link)
Come to think of it, would it be ok if I saved it and used it (or parts) for one of the banners between chapters of a story of mine?

[identity profile] mischief5.livejournal.com 2006-07-04 01:22 pm (UTC)(link)
You're welcome to use the "To Die For" icon as a part of your banner but only if you send me a link to the story. :) I love Methos fic. mischief5@charter.net

Thanks!

*sends mail with link to other stories, meanwhile*

*saves, bouncing*

[identity profile] holde-maid.livejournal.com 2006-07-04 06:41 pm (UTC)(link)
Thank you! I'll send the correct link when it's finished. :-)

[identity profile] holde-maid.livejournal.com 2006-10-19 08:07 am (UTC)(link)
... dang, where did it go to? I can't find it anymore *sniff*

*saves quickly* Thank you! *hugs*

And of course there was the time that we tried to compose an haiku describing Methos's nose and accidentally conjured up a a vengeance demon...oh, wait minute, wrong channel :-)

You remember that time we took that road trip to St Louis, and ran into that kid named Adam Pierson? How the three of us wound up in a poker game with Jean-Claude I never have managed to remember. I do remember you warned me repeatedly that I shouldn't suggest turning it into a game of strip poker unless I was prepared to literally lose my shirt. ;)

I like to think so, but I sure didn't have a prayer of keeping up with Adam. That guy could put beers away like nobody's business. Now Jean-Claude... there was a patient man.

Remember that time you visited here and we went to Pike Street Market, and we freed all the lobsters into Puget Sound? And then we had pancakes at that Greek place. That was the BEST.

Mmmmm.... Greek food!

Remember the time...

[identity profile] midnight-reader.livejournal.com 2006-07-02 11:02 am (UTC)(link)
we were sitting down by the Spanish Arch in Galway, watching the sun set and enjoying a relaxing drink after a hard days shopping when Cary Grant came out of Lemongrass and asked us to bring him to the airport.

Don't remember why he thought we were a taxi service but we brought him over to the car and asked him which one, he said the nearest one but the nearest one was a pokey little place that only really flies to the Aran Islands and Dublin. So we took a chance and headed to Shannon Airport but half way there, he realised he should be going to Ireland West instead... the whole trip up to that one was a nightmare.

As soon as we left Galway County the weather downpoured on us, then the catch on the boot suddenly broke sending all the shopping and his luggage all over the N17. It took your tights to hold the bloody thing closed.

And then to top it all off, when we finally got there, the bugger didn't even pay us the cost of a coffee!!!

You swore after that you'd never come back here again but I'm holding out that you will :P

Re: Remember the time...

[identity profile] holde-maid.livejournal.com 2006-07-04 08:37 am (UTC)(link)
What, you were in Galway, too? Sounds like I was lucky not to run into Cary Grant, though. *snerk*

As long as you don't fall into the bay (trust me, it happens...just don't ask me about the particulars :-) )
