Christmas At The Adobes

Nin and I did Christmas At The Adobes tonight. It's held every year in Old Monterey, and is a self guided Adobe tour. Many of the adobes are only open to the public during this event. I've been wanting to do it for years, and either would miss it before I remembered it or was out of town. Many of the homes date from the 1830s-1840s and were lived in well into the 1970s. Loved the signs on most of them warning that they were unreinforced and wouldn't survive an earthquake. Some of them had period music and dance, and hot drinks and cookies. Very excellent inspiration for the historical fics I've been writing!

I don't know. I didn't really see anyone taking photos, but I didn't see anything saying you couldn't.

It was a lot of fun! And lots of exercise.

I would love to see photos too. It sounds like a really neat thing to get to see. I'm glad you got to go this year.
