Oh, they are doing the fireworks thing here! And scaring the crap out of my cats.

I'm doing baked chicken for supper and got a couple of different types of melons and some fruit. A very healthy Fourth of July for me.

We'll be seeing fireworks twice, so that'll make up for some of y'all! (The city next door has them on the 3rd so everyone can do 2 sets of celebrations.)

I have noted with interest that the newpapers that have printed this have edited out the "by solemn acts of devotion to God Almighty."

I'm going to be sitting out on my porch watching the fireworks at the Town Park. It's nice that I can see them without having to worry about parking.
