But there were holes. First, his car, when he was reported missing it should have turned up at the store. Second, why wasn't Tess or Richie watching and waiting for him when he first got back. Instead the guy jabs him with drug and drags him to his car and drives away? What about the doctors car? Where did he hide it?
Anyway, holes.

1) Joey Pants! (He plays the crazy-ass doctor.)
2) The similarities between Duncan and Wolverine (from X-Men) became super-clear to me in this one, as Wolverine too was experimented on (though much more brutally) because someone or some people noticed that he could heal quickly. So I had the idea of writing a crossover, which I'm currently working on.
That's about it. Like most Season One episodes, it falls short in execution, and has the plot holes that Robi mentions. But it did give me ideas.
Oh, and that lady reporter was completely annoying! I was glad when she finally left the show.

Yep. Not sure if it was the character or the actress. But it definitely did not work. The idea was good in that Duncan did get involved in a lot of weird matters. It makes sense a cop or reporter would pick up that and investigate it, but she did not work. Later in the series the military CID lady worked a little better.

It would totally make sense that an astute reporter, police detective, or doctor would notice something odd about Duncan, but somehow introducing these mortals on the show took away from the much more fun Immie action going on.
However, in fanfiction there is a tremendous amount of room for crossover! I would love to see, for instance, a L&O:CI/HL crossover, with Detective Goran sniffing around all those unexplained beheadings.
And recently someone (tazlet?) wrote a very nice House/HL crossover.
