the audience didn't get their money's worth! That was quite exciting. Not enough to want to start watching hockey, but a great way to end the Olympics. But I always feel bad for the losing goalie.
It was a good game, and did you notice the crowd's response when they announced the US goalie's name? They appreciate good hockey players, even if they just beat them for the Olympic gold. :)
I know. You imagine there are some of them who played against each other who will see each other on the same team in a few days and they'll be slapping each other on the back.
*Lacks hockey icon.* I forget when they mentioned it during the game, but they specifically mentioned a couple of the players on opposing teams in the Olympics having a game playing for the same NHL team Tuesday. They have to get right back to working together. ;)
The San Jose Sharks had 4 guys on the Canadian team & 2? on USA's. My Grandparents live down the street from the Shark Tank, so even though I don't follow hockey, I am a Sharks fan (as is my ENTIRE family)
Did you also notice Lindy Ruff, a Team Canada coach, giving goalie Ryan Miller an extra word in the hand-shake line? Lindy Ruff is the head coach of the Buffalo Sabres. Ryan Miller is the Sabres' goalie.

Coming in second to Canada in hockey is like being the runner-up behind Julia Child in a cooking contest.
