Out

The internet was out when I got up yesterday morning, and it was too hot to walk to my lunch/wifi spot, and when I got home, it was still out, and was when I went to bed. So much LJ catching up to do.

Summer has arrived - it's supposed to 105 tomorrow.

Mr. Bengal Kittie is gone :( Haven't seen him in two weeks. I miss him, miss him waiting for me when I get home, sitting at my door and talking to me through the screen. Even knowing this was probably going to be the eventual outcome didn't help when it happened.

Having trouble finding homes for any more of the kittens. And the longer we keep them, the more attached we get.

The A/C in our truck is broken, and it needs a special part, which hasn't arrived yet. Coming home from work isn't a whole lot of fun currently!

We're trying to catch up on TV - finally got up to 'Dead Men Don't Wear Plaid' on SPN last night. Still haven't seen any V eps since it came back on, and at this point, might just give up on ever watching them. Esp. now as the summer shows are starting up, or will be soon: Burn Notice, White Collar, Leverage, Next Food Network Star, Design Star, Make It Or Break It, Psych.

I managed to write 400 new words to Transformative Variations last week, in addition to the snippet I posted. Would be nice to write some more this weekend, but we'll see.

Wow, I had to get the house air conditioner freon'd up a couple of weeks ago. Internet out a bit yesterday, but up again now.

And our weather has been absolutely miserable. It's raining all the time, and we're wearing sweaters and light jackets. I'm afraid we'll see no summer this year.

Of course, it's perfectly possible that the weather will change soon and we'll start complaining about the stifling heat.

I'd take one of those kitties in a heartbeat if we were any closer and if my aunt weren't so allergic! I had two of my own while I was living in my hometown, but lost them to poisoned traps. :(

We here seem to have two types of weather in summer - either 90 F and higher, or 60 and lower, nothing in between:). And no AC in public transport:(.

***nods***
I heard last night on news that there are parts of the country already in the triple digits
We have sunshine today and suppose to be 71, but by tonight back in rain pattern.
To date, and it is only June 5, we have our full quota for month of June and they say this month will be as wet as May was..........
HOWEVER, I much prefer days of rain and then days of sunshine instead of blistering heat nonstop..........
The people who owned this house left for Phoenix where it often offers an overnight of 95 degrees.
Ah, no thanks.

I gave up on V a while ago, which was pretty sad, since I loved the original. But I thought the new one was taking itself way too seriously, and it was just plain boring.
