I wish I had friends locally. It would be great to be able to get together for a movie, meet for lunch, get together for a BBQ. Well, when they invent the transporter, I guess I'll be set :)
[hugs] Everyone is so far away. That's the main reason I still go to the Road Trips, despite everything, is to see all of you. /would be nice to see you more than once every two odd years :)
I know the feeling. All of my friends either fled Michigan at the first opportunity, or I met them online and they aren't in the same part of the country as I am. I'd love it if there were people I could hang out with, and do fandom-related things with.
Don't I ever! When I moved I left all of my old friends behind, and the people I met at work tried to include me into their circle, but they already had their friends and schedules.The situation at home didn't help things. I live my whole social life online now, not just fandom life - although I'd love to have someone to do fandom things with. Alas, no one seems to share my taste in shows! :cries:
Ummm, me too - that's part of the reason I've thrown myself into the knitting thing so much - twice monthly groups! with actual live people! OMG! Who knew there was such a thing!?
