Sixes and Sevens

I'm feeling all disconnected and at sixes and sevens. You know what I miss? Being able to talk fandom type stuff with the people I work with. That's neither here nor there, but I do miss it. I miss having friends locally or at least semi-locally. Not that I was much of a social butterfly, but I did get out a bit more than I do here. At least I've been writing a little more - 1800 words into the next part of Transformative Variations. Plus, I need to finish Too Young For Heaven for [livejournal.com profile] grachonok at some point, and I really wish to revisit both Queen of Swords and White Collar/ATF Mag 7. If wishes were horses....

Yeah, random post is random.

I can't discuss fandom at work either. And no one lives around here. Just me and my internet connection.

Thank God for the internet, huh?

I miss cons. Seeing the actors was a very small part of it - mostly it was the excuse to get together with everyone and have excessive fun. The shows and the actors just provided a nice excuse :)

Exactly! And the fun of almost running them down with your car [weg]

Hey! They lived, didn't they!? :)

I hear you. None of my coworkers watch anything interesting and all my friends live elsewhere.

YES can relate.
My sister thinks I am crazy. She thinks the entire idea of LJ is crazy and once asked me 'who are these people? How do you know they are who they claim to be?' and a lot of other inane questions.
One time she finished up her interrogation with something like: "I guess you could be doing worse things with your computer"
What she particularly finds odd is ff.
She is an English Lit major and is a writer and an avid reader, yet she cannot get around ff.
