I really do love how he blurs the lines between his character and his self in all the appearances he does for Marvel. I mean.. I sit watching and just think.. how much of that is him, or is he playing the character? Even at the Livestream of the Avengers movie premiere! :) Love it love it. I'm pretty sure everything he's doing at Comic Con has been totally in character, but he leaves me guessing so well!
In all honesty, I think RDJ IS Tony Stark. Minus the womanizing, because I doubt Susan would stand for that.
But the mannerisms and humour between him and the character seem pretty similar, and of course RDJ would understand Tony's addiction issues all too well. *pets him*
