Zachary Levi has a charity, and one of the ways he raises money for it is in depth conversations with guests at Comic Con -- the one with Tom Hiddleston just ended -- and they air live on YouTube, plus they're archived there afterwards. I saw conversations listed on the page with everyone from Joss, to Sherlock, to Supernatural. So you may want to check it out and see if your favourites are there.

I said I'd pass on news as I saw it, and it was just announced on Twitter that Anthony Starke, who played Ezra Standish on the series, is now a confirmed guest.

huh?

I'm out of the loop as usual - what's this exam that Peter's so nervous about?

Relevant to some of our interests: there's a Magnificent Seven con being planned for August of this year in Los Angeles. I'm pondering going, though it's still a little far out for me to make any decisions just yet. But it would be fun!

For those of you wandering over from the friending meme, hello! Feel free to look around.

A bit about me: I'm a California native, who moved to SW Utah about 4 years ago. I now live semi-rurally, complete with a small orchard, chickens, and veg garden. We're about two hours from Vegas, in the high desert, so it's very hot here in the summer. Usually 100+ most days. Being a coastal native, it's taken some getting used to!

I love to cook, and have even toyed with the idea of opening my own small cafe or restaurant one day. I have lots of cats - we ended up unintentionally becoming our own small rescue organization. If I lived on a real farm, I'd have a full blown shelter going. I watch too much TV, I love old movies, and if I love a movie, I tend to rewatch over and over and over. Also dig movie soundtracks, and have quite a collection. My favourite places include Scotland, York, Disneyland, Yellowstone, and the Pacific Northwest coast. I collect books about women who made the journey west during the westward expansion in the 1800s, and have a keen interest in that era. But I'm a history buff in general.

Fannishly, I write, and I make icons, I also run several LJ comms. I have fandom friends on LJ that I've known since 1996, when I first got online all the way to new friends I've made due to new fandoms and memes like this one.

So nice to meet you!

There's a friending meme going on to try and encourage more fannish posting on LJ, amongst other things. Check it out.

Welcome to those popping over from the [livejournal.com profile] onhiddlesd friending meme. Feel free to look around - I'm not all that scary. Usually. Swear! I really do like making new friends, and having some more Tom related folks around makes me feel less insane since Hiddles took over my all facets of my fannishness. I'm so bad, I told my brother to get Wallander for our mum's birthday so I can watch them too. In my defense, she loves those BBC mysteries, so win win!

I can jam and salsa, and I love this time of year because I can use my homegrown tomatoes and herbs in my kick ass grilled bruschetta. I'm thinking about getting goats so we can have homemade goat cheese as well. We're about two hours from Vegas, in the high desert, so it's very hot here in the summer. Usually 100+ most days. Turns out Norweson has really old masquerade videos on YouTube. I was at this one, though it wasn't my first one. Watching it, I actually find I recall a lot of it.

Red Lion Inn, Sea-Tac
Chair: Robert Suryan
Guest of Honor: Anne McCaffrey
Artist Guest of Honor: Kelly Freas
