Watching The Great British Bake Off, and it's cracking me up in this challenge - which is their idea of an 'American Pie' - as they're talking about how sweet American desserts are (One of the judges being quite nose up in the air on the subject.). I must protest! Some of the sweetest desserts I ever had were on visits to the UK. We definitely do not have the market cornered on sweet!

Well, we did invent Candy Corn White Chocolate M&Ms...and I'm so glad we did...

Plus, I know the Doctor talks about the Scots and their frying but didn't we invent...the Krispy Kreme burger?

Yes, they fry Mars bars in Scotland. I avoided those. But I did eat the Sticky Toffee Pudding, and the Treacle Sponge. Oh my! SWEET!

I think it was his dismissing American pies as too sweet after saying "I had a piece of an American pie once, didn't want another." He has ONE PIECE? and writes off an entire baked good? Geesh.
