A Little Late Now the Season Is Over...

Here's the deal -- while I'm watching Grey's and after it's over and I'm pondering it, I always seem to have these little ficlets running around in my head set in my Grey's/HL series. I've never given in to the urge to write one, because it seemed a little weird to want to write a fic to go with each episode. Last night, I really, really wanted to write one. Mostly it was about Emily wanting to celebrate Derek not being Chief -- in an affectionate, teasing way, of course! The urge seems to be growing!

So now I wonder if I should start writing them, get it out my system.

Maybe after I finish the WIP that starts at the end of last season/beginning of this one. It would solidify a little more what's going on with Emily and Methos, so it would (hopefully) tend to make the episode set fics make a little more sense.

I don't know. Just consider this my Friday afternoon ramble into the Twilight Zone!

Mischief and I were talking about how wonderful it would be if Dan Clifford were to transfer to the States and become a General Surgeon in Seattle? We have a nuerosurgeon and a Cardiothoracic surgeon. And now a new General surgeon - Dr. Dan Clifford. *g*

I don't know, I still think it would be kind of an odd thing to do.

I mean, I know people write 'missing scene' fic all the time, but missing scene from my own kooky crossover AU?

No, not weird at all! There's even a special name for those fics - they're called 'tags'! So give into the urge, my childe, you're not alone...

Why not? All fanfic is AU by definition - otherwise our names would be on the rolling credits of our favourite programmes! Have fun, I say, don't worry too much about the weirdness of it all :-)

Of course, this is the maniacal-crossover-fiend-from-hell giving you advice; I just keep on writing every half-baked idea that comes into my head! You, on the other hand, tend to think each story out carefully.

Still, I do believe one can over think these things!
