Deicsions, Decisions
Trying to decide something for the fic I'm currently writing that involves the existence of Immortals. Care to share your two cents?

ETA: should have clarified that the story in question is my current WIP and part 60 odd of my current series. So my question is based on the background of past stories. Sorry I didn't make that clear.

Spoilers for CA II below. Read more... )

that I really would like to write Vikings fic with Methos and maybe a small helping of Loki (the Marvel one). Doesn't mean I'm going to, just that I've thought about it.

Been writing
900 words into my series take on Winter Soldier. Only thing is that Bruce and 'Kermit' want to be included, and I know so little about the Hulk, that I'm not sure I can incorporate him into a story with action/violence/mayhem. I don't know the 'rules', I guess.

All the fic
Like lots of others, after seeing Winter Soldier, I wanted to write!! And I have a story, sort of, in my head with Tony, Bruce, and Charlotte and.... argh! But one issue is that the story will need to utilize happenings I haven't written yet (Like the Isla de Meurta story), but I'm sure I can work around it. Maybe a few flashbacks.... First off though, a second viewing of Cap II so I can get the timeline more firmly set in my memory. Then maybe writing. And then there's the Mag 7 SHIELD WIP I need to finish, though I need to do some serious reconsidering where it's going after what happened in the movie. I haven't been Jossed, but definitely need to rework some things. And I need to take my stupid Notary test this weekend as my license expires on Monday. Utah makes you start from scratch each time, retake the test, resubmit all the paperwork.... Bleah. But it's one of the requirements for my job. So at least they pay for it all.

That Went Better Than Expected
I've written nearly 4000 words of the Walt Disney fic since yesterday. I wasn't expecting to hit a writing groove at all. Actually, the story's done -- just needs some tweaking.
28 December 2013 @ 05:57 pm
So I've now written over 2000 words, and I'm writing Clark Gable!? I have no idea where he appeared from, but what the heck, I'm going with it. Walt Disney is about to make his appearance, and my little ficlet is turning into a real story.
28 December 2013 @ 12:21 pm
I just may be writing a story that gives some background on Charlotte's Jack Sparrow, as opposed to the one in the movies, that includes Howard Stark and Walt Disney. Yeah. So, up till now, I'd used comics dating for when SHIELD was created, really it only came into play during the Peggy Carter story I wrote a few years back. But now, I think I need to do some retconning. That short about Peggy that was on the IM III DVD seems to be saying that Howard created it, or mostly created it, two-three years after the end of WWII. So, 1950ish? Basically, a few months after the end of the Peggy fic, there's going to be a party at Howard's, and I need to date it. I also need to rewrite some of the Peggy story. Poked around the Marvel wiki, but it keeps hanging when I try to get to pages.

Look! A real post!

Because, Tony
So you know that story I'm thinking of writing? Isla de Muerta, Asgardian artifacts and pirate treasure, Agents of SHIELD mission story? That one? Tony wasn't going to be in it. Yeah. Well....he is now. I give in.

Note To Self
Write more fic featuring Loki for sheer amount of hits on AO3. I'm boggled that 'White As Snow, Red As Blood' is still getting hits, and is past the 3500 mark. Jeepers!

Queen of Swords
I'm kinda sorta thinking of posting QoS fic again. I'm going for the smallest fandom I can find, you see :D
31 July 2013 @ 02:22 pm
I just might possibly have written a wee Agents of SHIELD fic.
07 May 2013 @ 05:27 pm
As some of you know, I wrote a set of interconnected ficlets that are set just a few days before IM III, and hoo boy, I didn't get Jossed! I'm actually kinda pleased at how well they work with what I finally saw in the movie! It's nice when it works out.

I really want to write fic set during IM III now, but must finish current IM II story, and the one set during Avengers before I go crazy.

Speaking of IM II story - note to those waiting for the next part of Equivocal Coalescence, the current part is this close to being done, so hope to have it posted this week at some point. It just kept growing in length and has taken longer to finish than anticipated.

Writing Explosion
Wow, brain! I either can't get it to string a few sentences together or it goes nitro. I wrote nearly 3000 words yesterday! I found my angsty emo Tony place and just couldn't stop. Even with having to make sure the part ended in the right emotional place to segue into the scene from the movie, at the birthday party, when Tony and Rhody blow up the mansion. I want to write more today, but I really need to remember I need to get some RL things accomplished today as well.
13 April 2013 @ 12:36 pm
Oh, timeline, how you vex me.
Have realized I screwed up the timing in latest fic: I've made it weeks instead of months between Transformative Variations and Equivocal Coalescence, and considering I shot Happy in TV, he can't be running around as active as he is in IM II. Unless I pretend the Happy parts didn't happen in my universe, which I could go with since the two scenes with Natalie aren't used in my story. Or I go back and tweak everything I've already posted. Or or or, no one actually notices/remembers/cares.
26 March 2013 @ 06:05 pm
Wow, they talk
So working on part four of Equivocal Coalescence, and have managed about 2000 words of Tony and Charlotte talking. Everything from pecan pancakes to Benjamin Franklin. Really, guys? Well, on the flip side, it's a nice set up to the angst of Tony's birthday party and the mansion going boom. And Tony finally finding out that Charlotte knew his father in WWII.

I Doubt
So one of the drawbacks of not posting parts as I finish them is I start to obsess. I keep tinkering. And I start to doubt what I've written. I wrote something off the cuff, from the heart, then I go back and wonder 'is it too emo?' 'will people hate it?' So instead of posting last night as intended, I'm frozen in place, dithering over whether to keep or cut. Argh!

This and That
I ended up writing the sequel to Transformative Variations - 3000 words in so far. To keep with the title theme of the prequels, this one is titled Equivocal Coalescence. I watched the Hotel de Paris scene from IM II over and over and over, trying to get bits of the dialogue right that I needed for the story. I think this is the first tome I've written a story set during the movie itself. So, going to write some more tonight. I hope. I will be nice to finally wrap up the arc that started with Practical Applications - and just in time for IM III!

Speaking of, did you see the new theatrical trailer?!?!?! OMG! I am beside myself with excitement and anticipation. Can't wait to meet up with all our peeps in Vegas for the midnight showing!

TV stuff that's made me happy: Justified! Great season so far, and last night's was stellar. Adding to my squee is that I was so right as to the identity of Drew! I did a little victory dance around the room :D

I want chicks! We have plans for more chickens, but unfortunately that requires my brother to expand the coop, which he hasn't done yet. And yet, I want chicks now!! Several people on the Utah board of My Backyard Chicken are hatching chicks right now, and I wants some! I'm probably going to have to wait till next spring though :(

Works continues apace. Have to go up to Salt Lake next month for a managers meeting. Last time they hauled us up there was three + years ago, and I'd only been with the company a few months. Now, I'm the only office manager left from that meeting (7 of us). Believe me, the thought I could be next/last has not escaped me.

The fruit trees in the orchard have started to bloom. I love fruit tree blossoms! We're about to get hit with a big storm Friday, so lots of rain would be great timing!

I Dreamed a Movie
I had a dream this morning that I'd written a screenplay and it had been made into a movie. Then I was sitting in the theater watching it, and my first reaction was 'nice costuming!'. As the dream progressed, I totally got into the story, but I woke up just as the bad guys showed up. After I woke up, I wrote a page of notes, because I think I might just want to write that story - if I ever start writing original fic again.

A Whole Soundtrack
So I just bought Mumford & Sons album, Babel. God, it could be the soundtrack for Charlotte and Chris. Which is fortuitous since I'm currently writing a Chris/Charlotte fic, a sequel to Too Young For Heaven. Talk about setting the mood. The story's almost done, and poor Nin, she had to listen to me ramble on as to whether I stop it where it is, or continue. Not that she's read it, but I just needed to be able to talk about it to someone. I hate writing in a vacuum. My brain is just spinning, and needs some sort of outlet. I'd talk to the cats, but they're not much with the responding. And the other development today was James Norrington walking into the next story as an Immortal. No, I don't know where he came from, he was just there, in Santa Fe, with horses. That's my muse for you.
14 January 2013 @ 05:41 pm
Speaking of Charlotte....
Ever since finally finishing Too Young For Heaven, I've had the urge to write OW M7 fic again. The series rewatch probably aided and abetted. I actually started writing a sequel to the above yesterday. It's just been so long since I wrote anything sexy/romantic, I'm doubting my ability to still make it happen. I guess all I can do is take a stab at it and see.
