She posted about her new purse, and with no willpower, I went virtual shopping. Now, I have a real thing for vintage purses, clothing, jewelry from the 1930's and 40's. I have one vintage bag, one ring, and one dress from the era. And tonight, I found a couple of wonderful webstores. But I was good and resisted the much too pricey 1930/1940 purses. There were two... [sigh] anyway, I found an affordable bag. But from 1970ish [g]. When I was a little girl, I had a knock off, small version of this bag -- nearly identical. I adored it!! So when I found it tonight, I caved and bought it. I mean, seriously! It was my favourite thing from when I was 12!
Is it not cute? And it's in gently used condition, so quite good for an everyday bag.
And if you like vintage clothing, check out this site. Oh, if I had a few hundred bucks lying around! They have some excellent pieces form the era I'm most fond of.
