On A Brighter Note

We were able to change our flight to leave Wednesday, though it means pretty much no sleep Tuesday night. But if I'm exhausted, maybe I'll be less like to have a panic attack. Or that's what I'm telling myself! Now we're getting in Wednesday dinner time instead of Thursday at 11pm. So nearly an extra day and a half!

We're staying at a different hotel Wed. night, then moving to the Sheraton for the next four. We're also going to do the Tippler Tour Thursday evening, if anyone would care to join us. The guided historical walk is now off because it only runs weekends after Labour Day [pouts muchly] We might do the zoo on Friday, but we haven't made any definite plans. Oh, and it turns out Morimoto has a restaurant in Philadelphia!! Squee! We probably won't eat there, but must have a drink and an appetizer in the lounge at least!

If I just didn't have to step on an airplane, it would be perfect!

I'm so cranky that the one week I'm going to CA is the weekend you guys will be here. Otherwise I would totally drive up from Baltimore to meet you for dinner or something!

Dramamine always helps me with panic attacks. Even the non-drowsy stuff. I hate to fly. I used to love it and then I developed panic attacks. Now I have gotten over them almost entirely, except when I fly. It's also the only time I can't calm them down.

Dramamine helps though.

It's one of the many many drugs I'm allergic to, I'm afraid :) I have some valium left over from a dental appointment, so am going to try that.

Blegh. I think that has to suck more than Benedryl, which is the one I'm allergic to.

[raises hand] me too! Though I'm not as allergic as i used to be. Now I can take small doses. Large ones still give me hives.

You are the first person I've every met that was also allergic to it! Most people look at me funny. It gives me hives too. Still does.

I didn't even know that's what I was allergic to till a friend told me her son was! I had surgery a few years back, and since I had asthma the anesthetist decided to give me a shot of it despite me being allergic. when I woke up I was COVERED in hives. Was miserable.

I can imagine! I found out I was when I was young. Got more than a week out of school for it though. My mother gave it to me because I had an unidentifiable red spot on my back. Then I broke out into hives. She wasn't sure what it was and the school wouldn't let me in. Dr. said it was hives and to keep me on the benedryl. After several days, and it getting worse, my mom finally decided to stop giving me the benedryl. And they all went away.
