Well, my Creative Zen MP3 player is on the fritz AGAIN! I didn't want an Apple product because of the restrictions they have on the music you buy, and just didn't want to hassle with it, but at least Nin's Nano works! Just one more thing to be grumpy about today.

Nin and I share a computer, and all our music. If I were to get an iPod too, I wouldn't be able to transfer music we bought on iTunes onto my iPod since we already have Nin's, the PC and the laptop as the three allowed licenses. And I just have an aversion to buying things that are trendy :) The Zen was also much more affordable (I wouldn't have an MP3 player if I'd had to pay what iPods cost), and it had great ratings. Mine, however, appears to be a dud.

Apple allows you to authorize up to 5 computers, and plus you can always just convert the files to mp3 format. Then there's no restriction at all. :)

I just don't want to be bothered. I paid for the music, and however many places in my home I want to use it, I should be able to. It's a peeve of mine :)

I've gone through a bajillion pairs looking for the right ones. Right now I'm trying the Bose in-ear ones, but I think I'm going to wind up taking them back and swapping them for the over the head type 'cause these are hurting my ear passage.

Neither Nin nor I have have ever been able to find ear buds that don't hurt. Bummer too since they're so compact.

Yes, precisely! I love the compactness of these, but I don't like the fact that I can't actually y'know wear them without inflicting pain on myself.

I'm really sorry your player isn't working. I avoided Apple like the plague too, because of the restriction on the music, and because of its popularity.

I have a Creative MuVo T100, which I'm very happy with it.

Is your player under warranty? Maybe not, but it still seems to be bad luck.

My dream player is one of the Archos music and media players. It's really one of the best, but I can't afford it. :P

And you wouldn't believe how many spelling mistakes I had to correct in this comment. In my defense, I just woke up and haven't had breakfast yet.

Oh, that's a bummer. I haven't had a problem with mine, but I've only had it a month... and I just will not buy Apple products.
