Shoes!

Since I work in a warehouse on concrete floors, I need sturdy shoes, so I'm almost always in my Merrill hiking boots or slip ons. But they're so bulky for spring/summer, plus, I've been wearing the same two pair for over three years now. So I popped over to Zappo's and got two pair of Mary Jane style shoes. One pair Merrill, the other Teva. It'll be nice having something different!

Your new shoes sound fun. =) I am a total Dansko convert. Their clogs are great and so are the mary janes. They even do sandals with the same base as the clogs and mary janes, which I'm considering.

My feet couldn't survive without my Merrells. I've only ever had Teva sandals before, never shoes, but they're supposed to be good.

I've never tried either Merrells or Tevas, but I must look for those next time I'm at my shoe store.

I think I wore out my house slippers, which is what I wear in cool/cold weather while working at home. I'm in socks and birks now.

I have winter crocs with a furry lining I got for the house this winter. They worked out well.

Thank goodness I don't have to worry about style with school. But once I'm back in the workforce, I'm going to have to seriously start thinking about shoes again. I hate shoes. My feet like to be free! *grin*

Where I work, it's definitely function over style!

After working in Manufacturing plants on concrete floors for years, I developed this pain in my foot. So the podiatrist made this molded inserts for my shoes. Pain is gone and they fit in every pairs of shoes I own. This might be one way to wear less bulky shoes and still give your feet the support they need.

But shopping works too [g]

I've had orthotics, and have used them, but for the most part Merrill does a good job all on its own. The reason the shoes are bulky is because it's so cold in here, and they're thick soled for insulation and such.

Are they red and do they sparkle?
