I was about to say, between SGA & SPN fandoms, I've seen it a lot. But I see other people have already mentioned the same experience. ;)

That makes sense. Seeing it outside it's usual context may have made it more noticeable.

I used to see it quite a bit in regards to Willow back in my Buffyverse days.

I occasionally see it in Doctor Who fandom, too.

Like the othes, I've seen it in SGA primarily (after all, we've got so many adorable, geeky dorks in the series), but I suspect that as with so many turns of phrase, once you start using it, it tends to follow you into various conversations!

Well, I think I first came across it about 3 to 4 years ago in the SGA fandom, and have been using it since, especially when talking to fellow fangirls. ;)
