Norrington goes in tomorrow to get neutered. I know it's a simple procedure, but one of my cats died after routine surgery, so I worry about him. Send virtual scritches his way!
:) I'm sure he'll be fine, but I understand being worried and I am sorry you lost a pet, it's a sad feeling. Don't worry though, my dog was perfectly fine after he got fixed, I am sure he will be too!
I know what you mean. Remember what happened to Scarlett O'Hara? She was spayed and did fine. Then she went back to be declawed and had a reaction from the anethesia and died. I'll keep good thoughts for you.
Norrington, good wishes, dude! (well, soon to be pseudo dude, but shhh, we won't discuss it) But I understand your trepidation. We have three kitties - had four, but Gunther had to be euthanized because of kidney failure :( - and our old lady, Blizzard (she's 12), seemed determined to not recover from a pretty significant bladder infection. She's finally turned the corner, but she lost so much weight and we still have to supplement her feedings. Poor thing.
Sorry, got sidetracked. Norrington will be fine. I have deemed it so, and well, there ya go. :D

Also, kind of weird, but you're the second person on my f-list who's taking a kitty to be "fixed" tomorrow.

Actually, that's how I have it listed on the calendar... "Vet - Snip"
Poor thing... I know it's improbable that something will go wrong, but after having one cat not wake up from anesthesia, I'm a bit freaked...

(I can't stop giggling, first you named your cat after the guy in Pirates of the Caribbean who didn't get the girl, now you're giving him the Snip!)

He'll be ok, I'm sure. They'll take good care of him.

I called and pestered the vet every hour after the surgery until they told me my babies were well again.
