You Don't Say?

So [livejournal.com profile] ninjababe reads through new stuff I'm writing as I'm writing (she likes spoilers.) For those who haven't read White As Snow, there's a significant portion of Methos and Duncan in it, where they're held prisoner and are being tortured, and I was working on part seven yesterday. Nin reads it and says, 'That's so pre-slash'. Yes, I am greatly amused. [livejournal.com profile] pat_t is probably laughing over in Mississippi.

(For those new to these parts, it's just a long running...thing [g])

Actually, that does amuse me greatly. Maybe some day you will find yourself going there just as a natural progression of the story.

[snerk] I actually didn't know what pre-slash was, and Nin had to explain it to me. Turns out I've been writing that sort of thing for years! Go me!

Personally, I feel that if you write Duncan and Methos in character, it is pretty much always pre-slash. Even if you never go there. :)

That's an interesting take! It works.

It's a working theory.
