Yo Ho Ho, & An Open Thread!

I shamelessly pillaged this idea from [livejournal.com profile] mhalachaiswords

Definitions of Open thread on the Web:
An open thread is a post on a blog or frequently updated website where readers may comment and discuss any topic that they choose.

So, I officially declare this an open thread. Ask what you want, or bring up any topic you want. Basically, I want y'all to entertain me [g] Because what else is a f'list for, huh?

And add cheesy music, cheesier dancers, and completely over the top commentating, and you've got a fabulous evening! ::slinks into hiding to avoid the glares of fellow Whovians being deprived of their fix this Saturday::.

Ah, it all makes sense now.

It's funny, we have problems in the UK with aggressive American plants destroying our natives and upsetting the eco-system. It never occurred to me that you might have the same kinds of problems in the US.
Huh, you learn something new everyday.
ext_9031: (Default)

[identity profile] ithildyn.livejournal.com 2007-05-10 06:27 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, it's a major problem all over the country with different plants being the villains. Here, Eucalyptus is a real problem, and broom and pampas grass. In the south, it's things like kudzu which literally buries the area.
ext_25476: (Default)

[identity profile] otterevil.livejournal.com 2007-05-11 05:48 am (UTC)(link)
Kudzu!!! Run! Run for your lives!!!!!!

I really should try to work on that kudzu monster story. I bet I could sell it :)

Not bad! Opened my check to discover I'd gotten a raise!

Probably the first Methos episode [g] But I think the real fangirlyness started after the first con I met him at: Anglicon in 1997. He wasn't a disappointment in RL, which was a nice unexpected extra!

*waves*

Pirates are yummy...at least the new fangled clean ones. The real ones smelled and had bad teeth. Now, really, most people back then most likely smelled and had bad teeth but I'm pretty sure pirates ate even worse than the rest. But they got to play with cannons and sail ships and they didn't have to deal with Navy superiors. I've often wondered whether over all in a lifetime one would make more money from pirate swag or from prize money.

But I digress. I was saying that pirates are yummy...and I can prove it: http://pics.livejournal.com/some_day_soling/pic/001afq5b/g186

I'm thinking about shaving my head, shaving my cats, and knitting Methos a sweater that actually fits him.

One problem: I don't know how to knit. Would he mind if the sweater is crocheted?

I've heard of hair shirts, but that's carrying it a bit far! LOL

I think a crocheted sweater would be quite nice.

I want to know why she's stopped with her head hair. There ought to be other hair she can think about -- shaving.

*runs away very very fast*

[identity profile] ithildyn.livejournal.com 2007-05-11 05:53 am (UTC)(link)
Since I share the fridge, it would be a mixed bag. I always have milk, butter (salted & unsalted), cheese, and eggs. I always try to have heavy cream. We also almost always have lemons and limes. Let's see... natural peanut butter, jam of some sort, and two types of lemoncello. So you could gather I like to cook and bake from scratch, and we're very fond of dairy and citrus and citrus drinks?
