Distraction

My hellacious yesterday carries over to today, made worse by the fact that with the voicemail still being broken, our Sales guy just left on vacation.

So distract me!

1: It's my favourite colour.

4: You're supposed to *do* something? It was a long time ago, but I assume my mum made me a cake.

6: I wasn't allowed to watch it growing up (my great uncle spent the majority of the war in a German POW camp and my parents didn't think making a comedy out of it was appropriate), so I have no idea.
7: Just to have a long lunch is a treat, to go out for lunch at all is a treat, so I'm not fussy about the company [g] Probably Nin though.

That's sad. Here I was supposed to be entertaining you and I've hit upon a sad story.

No! It's fine :) The whole point is to get to know one another better. Life isn't always happy. And knowing about him made me appreciate the life I had.

I realized when you wrote that I had no idea what my great uncles did during the war. Which I found weird because I was pretty close to a couple of them. So I had to call me grandma to find out. Now I know. :)

I've always known what my grandfather did. I just can't figure out why I didn't know what they did.

2: Memphis two years ago at the hotel the PWFC thing was at. No, wait, at my friend's house last summer.

I've always hated school. Which is kinda a paradox seeing as I did 6 years post-high school. :P

How old would one be in Grade 10? Sorry, I don't know the American school system well.

16, though it was Canadian school, but the grades are the same as here.

Sorry, I thought it was American school. Is school compulsory till you're 16 over there? It is here, from 6 to 16.

0.o you dropped out in tenth grade? I dropped out in tenth grade too. I felt much the same: thank freakin god this is the end of it. people say stuff like "oh that's so high school" and I'm just like, "oh, is it really?" cause what do I know? I attended high school for about eight months. Total. I have a GED. I gave college a try too. Didn't much care for that either. School and me just are not compatible, I guess.

1: Last completed? I'll go with that :) I really liked it! 'He's a Pirate (http://ithildyn.livejournal.com/572485.html)', it was. I loved Methos getting the girl and Duncan being rather dumbfounded by that.
2: I don't think I've ever said it. It would more likely be What the Hell? [g] and I pretty much say that every day.
3: Neither. None of the Above.
4: I'm really proud of Oaths (http://ithildyn.livejournal.com/348332.html). It was a straight Forever Knight fic, and it intertwined flashbacks of LaCroix's mortal life as a Roman General with the present day. I think the adult version of the story was rather hot too! And it got nominated for some FK fic awards to boot.
5: People who don't have a clue what they're babbling about. I guess I don't suffer fools gladly :)
6: I honestly don't know.
7: I don't have repeat nightmares, and I don't recall any specific person.
