My hellacious yesterday carries over to today, made worse by the fact that with the voicemail still being broken, our Sales guy just left on vacation.

So distract me!

Ask me the seven questions below. Just copy and paste them into a comment, replace the blanks with anything you want--personal, silly, surreal (e.g. 3. Donkeys or sandcastles and why?), or deep--and I'll answer honestly as I can! Then post this in your own LJ and see what kind of things people want to ask you!

1. What do you think of _____________ ?

2. When did you last ____________?

3. __________ or ___________ and why?

4. What did you ______________?

5. What's your favorite ______________?

6. How would you ______________?

7. Who would you most like to ________ ?

1. What do you think of the color purple (color not movie)?

2. When did you last do the hokey pokey?

3. Polka Dots or paisley and why?

4. What did you do for your sweet sixteen?

5. What's your favorite sunday morning thing?

6. How would you escape from the camp if you were part of Hogan's Heroes?

7. Who would you most like to have a very long lunch with? (Ok that was fairly boring but so was the other choice: like to beat over the head with a stick? Feel free to substitute.)

1: It's my favourite colour.
2: Probably the last time I went roller skating which was... 14 years ago?
3: Paisley. Just never been a fan of spots :)
4: You're supposed to *do* something? It was a long time ago, but I assume my mum made me a cake.
5: champagne brunch.
6: I wasn't allowed to watch it growing up (my great uncle spent the majority of the war in a German POW camp and my parents didn't think making a comedy out of it was appropriate), so I have no idea.
7: Just to have a long lunch is a treat, to go out for lunch at all is a treat, so I'm not fussy about the company [g] Probably Nin though.

4. Some people do, so I thought I would check.
6. Your parents had a point.

4: Yeah, but I'm old, so I'm always behind on that sort of thing [g]

6: He didn't come out in good shape and died a few years later. I never got to meet him, obviously.

That's sad. Here I was supposed to be entertaining you and I've hit upon a sad story.

I'll do better next time, promise.

No! It's fine :) The whole point is to get to know one another better. Life isn't always happy. And knowing about him made me appreciate the life I had.

I realized when you wrote that I had no idea what my great uncles did during the war. Which I found weird because I was pretty close to a couple of them. So I had to call me grandma to find out. Now I know. :)

I've always known what my grandfather did. I just can't figure out why I didn't know what they did.
