Doomed, I Say, Doomed

I appear unable to fall in lust with any fandom that doesn't end up being a predominantly slash fandom. Iz sad. Some of you may have noticed my current preoccupation with Magnificent Seven [cough] (just a little) So obsessed with it in fact, I actually want to read fic for it. That doesn't happen very often. I've really stopped reading fic for the most part the last few years, so when I love something enough to seek out fanfic, you know I got it bad! On the plus side, I have a lot of years of fic to catch up on, and there's a lot of great gen fic in the fandom. But is there any het? I have yet to come across any. There's more slash than you can shake a stick at though. It's a bummer, because it would be nice to have something adult in nature to read -- just sayin' :) (I thought I'd at least find some Chris/Mary!) But it seems I'm to be thwarted yet again.

Well, I do now have enough gen fic tagged to read to last me for a while, so I guess it'll just have to do. Oh, and if you have any Ezra/ANYONE!!, tell me! Seriously [g]

I had to think for a minute if I could come up with any fandom where slash is scarce (I'll read het or slash, as long as it's, you know, good) and finally I remembered Iron Man. I'd slash that but no one else seems to :P

But for a fandom like magnificent seven? Yeah, never checked it out myself, but it doesn't surprise me there's no het to be found

There really is so much awesome gen. at least from my brief exposure, there seems to be as much gen as there is slash. And some lovely people did point out some het for me :) I think you'd enjoy the show.
