Help jog my memory. There was an episode where Kate wanted to know how Castle ended up wrting about murder, and Castle made up some story about being a kid and finding a body on the beach. But that's all I recall. anyone remember more?

I remember the scene (but not the ep): Castle tells Kate the story and she is horrified. Then he explains that he is having her on; none of it is or was true -- his point is that he made a story up of whole cloth because 'I am a writer and that is what writers do.'

And that's all I really remember, was that it was just a story. I can't remember the details of the story. Stupid memory!!

That was the first episode of Castle I saw, thanks to ithildyn hyping the Browncoat costume, and after that I was hooked.

IIRC, he said they were summering in the Hamptons and he was swimming with the son of one of their servants. The boy drowned and washed up on the beach.

Unless that's from some other episode of something else. Hmmm.

But really, the Halloween one is no burden to re-watch, so by all means...verify!
