A More Permanent Hell

We finally saw the first Hunger Games movie, and liked it enough that I may have to check out the books at some point.

'Justified' is back! Wheee!

Watched the first ep of 'Killer Women' and really enjoyed it. Added bonus: The Mavericks opening and closing the episode with their music.

We're going to go see 'Saving Mr. Banks' tomorrow.

I feel like writing, but not sure what. There's always my Queen of Swords sequel that I've been working on intermittently. One day, I will finish it! Or the sequel to 'White As Snow, Red As Blood', which is set during 'The Avengers'. Or the Agents of SHIELD/Isla De Muerta/Prate Treasure one I've been pondering. Or going back to the Old West portion of my series and write the one with James Norrington. No idea.

Ladies Assemble this year is going to be at Disneyland instead of Vegas for the fifth annual. This all started accidentally with Captain America, so for the second one, we're mixing it up.

Watched 'Almost Human' finally. We had 5 eps on the DVR. We really like it, and will keep watching.

How fandom is changing. Who'd think you'd see a tweet from Orlando Jones about Yuletide and the number of Sleepy Hollow stories and that he's going to read them all!?!? Speaking of which, I've never participated in Yuletide, but I thought it was for small fandoms?

Been recording Dracula, but have yet to watch. Not sure we ever will at this rate!

I knew the price of healthcare was going to go up, a lot, but dang, I still got sticker shock when I opened the bill from my doctor's visit. Now, I was there for maybe twenty minutes to get my prescriptions renewed, saw a PA not the actual doctor. Last year, it cost me $90, this year? $175! My work insurance is a catastrophic policy, with a $5000 deductible, so that's all for me to pay. Yipers!

The hlh_shortcuts fic exchange is coming up again, and I'm actually tempted to give it another shot. I didn't have a great experience the one time I participated, and have been leery ever since. However, the fact I finished my Highlander anniversary fic on time has made me feel like living dangerously :D I have a week before sign ups are closed, so will ponder.

In between things I was doing yesterday, I got a pinterest account. I'd noticed that a lot of recipe pages had a pin it button, and thought it might be a way to collect recipes from the web.

It's 1AM and I'm watching Iron Man and tweeting up a storm. I should be in bed asleep, but watching the Tudors depressed me and I didn't want to go to sleep remembering beheadings. On the bright side, I've met a lot of new folks on Twitter today, so it's been fun getting to know them. On the writing front, I wrote two WHOLE paragraphs. Yeah, and that took me nearly two hours. Maybe tomorrow...

To avoid any more pathetic introspection, I'm watching Thor for the umpteenth time - Tom Hiddleston can always cheer me up. I give up on writing for now.
