Methos is my favourite, and am perfectly happy with him being the only Highlander character present. I'm also equally happy with any assortment of Highlander characters along with him.
I very much enjoy Gen, especially friendship fic, Het is great too, but M/M just doesn't do a thing for me, I'm afraid. Pairings, I don't have an OTP--I'm not all that shippy--but don't mind Methos/Amanda, or Methos/Rebecca, and Methos/OFC would be lovely, or some crossover pairing. I'd prefer no Cassandra or Alexa.
I love crossovers, and alternate universes, but a straight Highlander fic would be just as great. Highlander fic set in another universe works too, for example, a purely Highlander story set in the Star Trek future, but no Star Trek characters, that sort of thing. I enjoy stories where our Immies have to adapt to changing times - and that can be the future or the past. I also really enjoy a good historical piece, not limited to Tudor England, Norse/Vikings, Ancient Egypt, Celtic Britain, Arthurian, World War I and II and the years between, Colonial North America, Old West.
And speaking of crossovers, you're welcome to choose from any of my fandoms that speak to you - I'm easy :)

It's that time of year again, where I I need to decide if I want to participate in the Highlander holiday fic exchange. Looking at the guessing post from last year, I was picked once for one story, not mine, and the one I did write, no one came close to pegging me :D Not sure what that says about what people think I'm capable of writing. Anywho I need to decide, and I'm tempted, but always plagued by the fear I won't be able to come up with something and will have to default :( I'll have to ponder some more.

This year, I decided to do some sort of DVD, and while perusing Amazon, I found Highlander: Best of the Best (Ultimate Collection )
for $11! Score! So that's going to be my gift this year. I can share the Highlander love :D I love Amazon's super-dooper sales!
Now comes the hard part: deciding what dish I'm bringing, or two. I found a recipe for a focaccia with caramelized onions, pears and blue cheese that's a possibility. Also thinking of making spanikopita. Or maybe leek and Gruyere tarts....

I didn't have a great experience the one time I participated, and have been leery ever since. However, the fact I finished my Highlander anniversary fic on time has made me feel like living dangerously :D I have a week before sign ups are closed, so will ponder.
