We just got back from seeing the A-Team. Liked it a lot, highly recommend it. Lots of laughter, cheers and applause from the audience we were with, so I think it's a safe bet they all enjoyed it as well! Oh, and stay till after the credits [g]

Likewise saw it today - liked it, but not crazy about it.

I was the only person in the whole cinema who stayed until after the credits - even had to explain to one of the staff what I was waiting for ;}

I'm glad someone I know liked it. I've wanted to see it for awhile because of the sheer amount of ridiculousness was in that trailer.

What's after the credits? Our cinema people NEVER leave it running after the credits. Heck, they don't even let the credits roll, and turn on the lights just before they start. It drives me and my sis crazy!

Huh... I think that might technically illegal, or at least against some guild rules here in the US... That's why TV stations here always show the credits when they show a movie. Granted, it's in ant sized font, and goes by at the speed of light, but they do.

After the credits, are two scenes. The first is the current Face talking to Dirk Benedict, and the second is the current Murdock in a scene with Dwight Schultz. If you want more information that that, I can private message it to you...

Well, I'm in Bosnia, where most things are done in a half-assed sort of way. I do know that in the US the rules (whether they're guild-rules or not I can't say) require the credits to be shown in full in the movie theater.

No, that's fine, I'll wait and see how they handle it this time, and will watch the whole thing once it's out on DVD. I thought maybe they included a full action scene or bloopers something, or maybe a glimpse of the next movie, which is definitely happening. Of course it is.

Panth can you tell me why you weren't crazy about it without spoilering me? I'm not sure how I feel about Bradley Cooper as Face, but I'm dying to see Liam Neeson as Hannibal.

The 'not crazy' had nothing to do with the actors. Bradley is terrific, and Liam amazing as always (to the point that when I now think of 'Hannibal' the first mind's image is Liam, not George). Sharlto and Jackson are OK, but you can tell they're less experienced actors (and with me being a Murdockian, Sharlto has big shoes to fill).

My main gripe was with the pacing and the way the film was shot. They were basically trying to cram too much into two hours, and as a result lots of little things they could have develeoped, weren't, including the characters. I didn't have time to come to care about these guys - like them, yes, but not care, so a lot of the 'character' moments didn't have the impact they were meant to.

Also, they had too many plot elements moving too fast; it's not just 'the Team vs the bad guy', there's several factions involved and it all moves so fast it can get confusing. Lastly, the combat/mission scenes are all filmed in 'snapshot' - rather than following a fight in sequence the filming flicks from 'he punches him' *jump* 'he hits wall' *jump* ... it's annoying, and hard to follow.

All that said - there are a lot of golden moments in the film, and as Ith said, it's The A-Team - it's supposed to be over the top. I'll definitely see it again, and get the DVD when it comes out.

Bradley is terrific...

Face was my favorite so Bradley has got his work cut for him with me, but having loved Zachary Quintos' Spock I'm prepared to wait and see what Bradley's Face is like.

Aaaah. I think that's a trap Hollywood sometimes falls into with movies they hope are just the start of a franchise. They pack too much in hoping that it will be exciting enough to earn sequels they can then take more time developing things in.

Ah, I missed the end credits, had to leave and go get my car from the dealer. But I too greatly liked the movie!
