I really liked Xavier St. Cloud as a villain and thought that Roland Gift did a tremendous job in the role. The story could have been a bit stronger and a little more fleshed out but I think they took care of that in later episodes, at least as far as the character was concerned.

Darius, in this ep, was wonderfully conflicted. And I loved how Tessa tossed Richie's "education" into Duncan's lap. I really missed both Tessa and Darius. They gave Duncan a chance to be young and happy.

I have to agree with what Mischief said about Darius and Tessa. Duncan was so much happier and care-free with them around. I think it just killed something inside that immortal healing couldn't take care of when they died. And then Fitz died. And then to be betrayed by someone he valued and loved was almost too much. I think people are much too hard on Duncan and forget what he has had to deal with and how he would see things.

"I really liked Xavier St. Cloud as a villain and thought that Roland Gift did a tremendous job in the role. "

I have to agree. Roland Gift was one of the more memorable bad immortals and one of the better "Music" cameo performances (Roger Daltry being top of course).

"I really missed both Tessa and Darius"

I agree. However, I would have loved to see Darius more and was sorry about Werner Stocker's death. The story lines they could have written would have been great. However, if Warner Stocker did not die, I doubt the motivation for a character like Methos would have been there, thus the adage about a door closing and all fits here.

Still, Darius was a warm, calming presence and he is missed.
