Just Perfect

Just when I think we're getting somewhere. Had saved up some money to get Prudence and Chassie fixed, the last of the kittens, and then our vet sold her practice, which we discovered driving by and seeing a 'under new ownership' banner, so that's one whole thing, but the money instead went to pay for the car today, which decided to choose now to need fixing. Perfect ending to a perfect week /sarcasm.

The SPCA will spay or neuter your pet for a considerably lower cost that a private vet. I have a friend who works at one and drives her mother nuts because she wants to bring home all the kittens.

She was awesome. When we had an infectious disease sweep through the kittens and the moms, she had us weigh the cats so she could give us medication and directions on how to treat them, She knows all the kitties, which ones have recurring problems that need treatment, did what she could to help us place the kittens in homes. The while idea of er not there and some new vet is unsettling. But I don't think she would have sold her practice to anyone that didn't measure up.

I'm having a rubbish week too - was meant to be a week off and got called into work to cover, car died and now she's fixed but the exhaust is making strange and worrying noises :s

Sucks when you lose a good vet, hope you find a new one that's just as good. *hugs again*

It just happened. She's been fighting cancer, and she's having a tough time. I understand why she'd sell, but it was so sudden.
