My mum just called to tell me Wellington is dying. They have to take him to the vet tomorrow to be put to sleep. One by one, all my kitties are dying, and I'm not there with them, and I miss them.

He really did have a whole life he shouldn't have. He was a stray, weighed next to nothing, had a fox tail embedded in his eye. That was 14 years ago. And he's FIV positive. Mum said he just started going down hill last week, and he's lost so much weight. At least I got to see him when we were there last month. Daisy, our gigantic dog, is taking care of him, cleaning him, sleeping with him. She's a good old dog.

Aw, hon, I'm so sorry.
I lost one of my kitties to FIV too. It was the week before I graduated from college, but my parents didn't have the heart to tell me because a couple of friends of mine got into a bad car accident that same week & one of them didn't survive.
It sounds like he had a charmed life, & made yours all the brighter by being in it.
