Wheee!! I think I'm officially smitten with Mr. Clifford! This was a great Dan episode, and didn't he look great in the suit? After the Methos quote, I think my favourite moment is that last scene where he asks Lola if she's okay, and then he does that, what I always think of as the Methos walk, as he walks away. You know the one, that little half swagger that Methos always did but Adam Pierson didn't? Loved it! Outside of Dan -- yes, there was other stuff -- it was nice to see some closure for Elliot and scattering his wife's ashes on the rose garden. He actually smiled in this episode, something I've never seen, and it just changes his entire demeanor. Since I've only 'known' the character since the episode where his wife commits suicide, I've never known what the real guy was like, only the one devastated by his loss.

There were some very nice "Methos" moments in this episode. When Dan tried to get between Lola and the bipolar girlfriend, it really made me think of several scenes in HL where Methos did that hand waving, get in between/ in front of someone *thing*. Deliverence? To Be? Till Death? I keep thinking of a line: "Wait, Joe, just listen to me..."

And the snark. Oh, Dan does snark just like Methos... I love it!!

Just finished waching and, thanx to the quote, I cannot stop laughing...I wonder if that delicious little hat-tip was Peter's idea, but whoever had the tought of tossing that beauty in has a fabulous sense of humor...and now I've got silly little plot bunnies in the back of my brain insisting Dan Clifford is a Methos alias...sword's easily hidden in a golf bag, yes? *grin*

I just all-around adored him in this ep (then again, when do I not?)...luv his and Lola's rapport, even when he was winding her up to nearly deck him.

According to Peter, [paraphrasing] there was a line in the script that was almost exactly the quote, and he said he was going to see if he could switch it around just a tad and get it inot the episode. But he wouldn't tell when it came to what the quote was, just that we'd have to wait and see [g] He's just a doll!

You know, it would explain what he said to Camilla about things she didn't know about him [weg] And maybe the the guy he's doing the spying for knows he's an immie, maybe he's a Watcher, and that's something to do with 'the deal'. What lovely crack fic that would be!

I've been thinking that since that talk with Camilla. I have too many other fics on the go atm to start another but I am waiting with hope for a whole bunch of Highlander/Holby crossovers. Or for Dan to do something Non-Methosian and thus kill the bunny another way.
