Cant even begin to write up my disgust with Lucas. He has done nothing but thumb his nose at the Original Fans since the beginning. What makes it even worse is he has never praised the people who have helped him make his little dream world come true...who believed in it enough to pour all their energy into making a rather bizarre idea into a pop culture icon and a creative thing that has become part of American lexicons. I mean who nowadays could not hear "may the Force be with you" without knowing exactly where it came from and what it meant, even if they had never seen the movie? Or understand the sinister statement "you are not a Jedi yet!"

Lucas came to his senses. I certainly feel vindicated in refusing to view or buy the revisionist version, and in hanging on to my VHS tapes of the originals.

*Nods.* I totally understand. We got the VHS of the original trilogy in it's original form, and have refused to go near any of his many revisions. Just hearing about how many different ways he's had the Han Solo and Greedo scene play out makes me cringe.
